As the world continues to evolve and develop at an exponential rate, children’s learnt knowledge is becoming more and more useless as time goes on. By the time they finish their education, much of “what they know” is outdated and irrelevant. As a result, it is important to teach our children “how” to think instead of “what” to think.
As a child, most games you play with your peers are physical activities, such as handball and hopscotch. These games require you to move your body, exerting energy. What if we had the technology to use this otherwise wasted kinetic energy and turn it into energy that could power our homes, institutions, and entire countries? If you could produce electrical energy by joining in with an activity, would it make you more inclined to do it? Not only would you be keeping fit; you’d be helping the environment too.
Kids these days are very interested in using internet-focused platforms, such as social media, to communicate with one another. What if, however, we used renewable energy products which were similarly interactive and digital, allowing kids to socialize, exercise, learn, and create electrical energy all at once? They’d learn about sustainable energy production, as well as the recycled materials which our products are mostly made from. Combining gamification, practical education, exercise and interactivity could be a great way to interest kids and benefit the planet as a whole.
Our company, Eco Renewable Energy, uses recycled materials to make sustainable products that aim to turn humans into energy sources by harnessing kinetic energy when we move and perform physical activities. For the younger generations, who are increasingly plagued with obesity and a dying home planet, our products offer the perfect solutions of education-meets-sustainability-meets-fitness.
For example, we supply Wewatt bike tables that have pedals users can push (like a bike) in order to produce electrical energy while they sit. The “table” section of the product allows users to pedal while reading, writing, or performing other sitting activities. The power produced can be used to charge things such as laptops and phones, which could make it very useful for students.
We also produce energy Sustainable Dance Floors which come as a 3×3 set of 9. These LED-lit tiles are touch-sensitive, generating energy when people move on them and causing them to bounce. They are solar powered too and could be easily utilized for educational outdoor games, or for physical activities such as dancing and sports.
No matter which products are used, Eco Renewable Energy wants to encourage children to connect digitally by moving their bodies outside and keeping track of their progress on leaderboards or via general competitive ranking. We hope that this ongoing gamification of sustainable energy will help to lead to a better future for everyone.
