Alibaba Conference & Exhibition
At the Alibaba Exhibition held at the ICC in Sydney, Blackmores approached us to help create an engaging and interactive experience for their expo stand. They wanted something fun and exciting to attract visitors and allow the visitors to interact with the brand. We knew our WeWatt Bikes would be the perfect fit for this activation, so we got work designing a unique and competitive experience to get people involved.
Objective
The objective of Blackmores was to stand out among the many exhibitors and create a buzz around their brand. They wanted to bring in more foot traffic, spark conversations about their products, and deliver a memorable experience that would resonate with visitors long after the event.
Activation Strategy
We decided to create an energy-generating competition using our WeWatt Bikes. Here’s how we brought it all together.
- WeWatt Bike Setup: We set up two of our WeWatt bikes at the Blackmores stand, allowing visitors to hop on and compete against each other. Our bikes generate real-time data on the amount of energy produced, so we used that to create a fun race between participants.
- Interactive Displays: On a screen next to the bikes, we created a visual competition in which two Blackmores bottles would fill up based on how much energy each person generated. The more energy produced, the faster the bottles filled. This kept everyone’s eyes glued to the race, adding excitement and a clear visual of who was winning.
- Competition Mechanics: The faster and more energy a participant generates, the quicker their Blackmores bottle fills up. The person who created the most energy in the shortest time would win a bottle of Blackmores vitamins, adding a fun prize to the challenge.
Results
The results were fantastic, and the activation went beyond the clients expectations:
- High Engagement: The WeWatt bike competition brought large crowds to the Blackmores stand. People gathered around to watch and cheer on the competitors, creating a lively and fun atmosphere. The excitement around the race drew in more participants and bystanders, giving Blackmores more visibility.
- Increased Foot Traffic: The buzz created by the competition attracted even more people to the Blackmores stand, giving their team plenty of opportunities to chat with visitors and share information about their products. This activation opened up numerous opportunities for them to engage with new potential customers.
- Memorable Branding: The entire experience made Blackmores stand out. Visitors left with a positive impression of their brand and a better understanding of their commitment to health and wellness. Plus, many of the participants and spectators shared the experience on social media, further boosting Blackmore’s reach at the event.
Conclusion
